If you make your own products from British materials; or sell British products; or cook, make and serve British food; you need to join BuyGB!
BuyGB is a platform designed to support the smaller producers of food and crafts throughout Great Britain. Never has it been more important to support local businesses, and never has the desire to buy local been as high as it is now - BuyGB is here to help connect your business to the local customers you don't yet have.
BuyGB is more than just an ecommerce site - it's more than just a social network too, although it features elements that will be familiar to many. BuyGB is an organisation that actively works on your behalf to advertise your business in your local area (as well as nationally), whilst working with suppliers, organisations and partners to be able to offer you ways of saving money and helping grow your business.
If you belong to a guild, regional interest group, or association that works on your behalf, you should talk to them about joining BuyGB. For many types of organisations we are able to offer their members free access to BuyGB, and they will be able to bring local or industry specific knowledge to help us work on your behalf. If you don't belong to an organisation though, don't worry - you can still join, but we're afraid we have to charge a minor admin fee!
Your BuyGB account begins with your profile - once you have this you will automatically be listed with members who live near you. From there, the more you get involved the more we can help! Depending on what sort of business you have, you will get tools to advertise your products, events, menus, vouchers - you can even submit your news through our site to people near you who are interested in what you have to say! It doesn't matter if you only want to sell from your shop (you don't have to sell online) and it doesn't matter if you only want to sell one product a year, or attract one visitor or one million! There are no size or turnover requirements - the whole point of BuyGB.co.uk is to give you the tools that you might not ordinarily have access to.
