Hi, we are Jayne & Ricky Cresswell and we own and run Catch of the Day in Chorleywood.
Catch of the Day is a family run business and we pride ourselves on offering you the finest fresh fish and seafood.We have been eating fish all our lives. Both coming from London, we were brought up eating cockles, whelks and dare I say, jellied eels. Now we travel with our children to the south of France, introducing them to the wonderful arrays of seafood and shellfish.
We want to pass on our passion for fresh fish and knowledge to you the customer and share our enjoyment of the quality and goodness it provides.
Fresh Fish
Our fish comes from all over the country from our finest shores. Our main supplier being Billingsgate Market, the biggest inland market in the country offering the best quality fish, so you can be assured that our fish are not only picked by hand to ensure we get the highest order of produce, but also selected that same morning.
This means that we are also able to get any type of fish or seafood that you may want! From Organic salmon to wild sea bass, from extra large prawns to Halibut steaks, we also provide cooked crabs and lobsters.

With a selection of seafood fillings, we offer sandwiches that are not only very tasty, but also very healthy!
Our sandwiches are freshly made on the premises with a variety of different breads and fillings include:
Fresh Cornish crab meat with a squeeze of lemon & freshly ground pepper- £3.75 on brown
Finest Scottish smoked salmon with a twist of lemon and cream cheese- £3.75 on brown

Platters & Parties
If you are having any type of gathering, whether it be a large garden party, BBQ or a small intimate dinner party and would like to be able to purchase prepared platters of our finest seafood!
We provide two types of platters, luxury and deluxe seafood platters.

Had some amazing monkfish from here recently - it's so good to have a proper local fishmonger so I don't have to buy my fish from Tesco's. Ricky - I hope your finger is getting better after that cut!!
