Deliveries
Your order will be processed according to the delivery terms of the local producer (or producers). These terms vary, and are clearly indicated both during the checkout process and in your order confirmation. Your goods will be sent directly from the local producer to the delivery address provided by you during the checkout process.
Each local producer will have different delivery conditions and prices, which are clearly indicated both during the checkout process and in your order confirmation. It is possible that an order placed with multiple producers will be delivered at different times, so please be sure to check that you are happy with each local producer's delivery terms prior to confirming your order.
Many local producers offer the facility to collect your item from their premises. Items which can be collected are clearly indicated both during the checkout process and in your order confirmation. You will be informed when your item is ready for collection, and it is your responsibility to ensure that you adhere to the terms and conditions of collection (e.g. opening times, maximum amount of time that your items can be held) which is also indicated during the checkout process and in your order confirmation. Any uncollected items will be charged for.
Returns & Replacements
The majority of goods sold in the BuyGB.co.uk MarketPlace are not covered by the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, since they are classified as either "perishable goods" or are customised to your own specifications. Any items not covered by these regulations cannot be replaced or refunded except in exceptional circumstances. We would encourage you to contact the local producer directly to arrange a replacement item, however we cannot guarantee that a replacement will be available.
For items which are not covered by the classifications shown above, to return or replace any item (within 7 days of receipt or collection of your goods) you should initially contact the local producer directly to arrange a suitable replacement. Contact details for the local producer (or producers) are clearly shown on your order confirmation.
In the event that you are unable to organise a suitable replacement item with the local producer, or would like a refund for your item, please first print out a "refund authorisation" by logging into the "My BuyGB" section of the web site. You should then return your goods to the address shown on the "refund authorisation". Once received, we will process your refund within 30 days.
Please note that you have a statutory "duty of care" to look after any items in your possession, and any items returned in un-saleable condition cannot be refunded or replaced.
The local producer is unable to offer you a refund directly, so please ensure that the process outlined above is always followed when returning items for a refund. If you are collecting your goods and wish to arrange a refund prior to collection, please obtain a "refund authorisation" as outlined above and take this to the local producer who will be able to process your refund.
