Buying from the BuyGB Marketplace
The BuyGB.co.uk MarketPlace is an online store, bringing you items from the best local producers of food, crafts and hand-made items throughout the UK. When ordering from BuyGB.co.uk, we want you to experience the best levels of service. This guide outlines our policies for ordering, delivery and, if necessary, return or replacement of your goods.
Paying for your order
When ordering from the BuyGB.co.uk Marketplace, it will be clearly stated which local producer will be processing your order, and delivering your goods. It is possible to order items from multiple producers within the same order. In these cases, your order will be split into separate ‘sub-orders’ for each producer, and this will be clearly indicated both during the checkout process and in your order confirmation.
Payment for your order will be pre-authorised from your chosen payment card during the checkout process. We will not take payment at this stage.
Once your order is placed, details of your order (including your delivery details) will be distributed to the local producer (or producers) indicated in your order confirmation. The local producer will then process your order for delivery using our advanced order processing tools. On despatch of your goods, we will take payment from your chosen payment card. In the event that any items are not available for delivery by a specific local producer, you will be contacted by us and given the opportunity to amend or cancel the part of your order being processed by that local producer, or any other unfulfilled orders from other producers.
It should be noted that in the case of multiple local producers supplying your order, we will only take payment as-and-when each producer despatches your goods. This could result in multiple transactions showing on your statement for each individual order.
All payments will show as ‘BuyGB Ltd’ on your payment card statement. Your payment details are stored securely on our industry standard SSL Secure Servers. We do not pass your payment information onto the local producer at any point during the ordering process.
Order status can be tracked using our online tools which are available in the ‘My BuyGB’ section of the web site. You can also cancel any part of your order which has not been despatched using these tools.
